People Solutions are currently recruiting for Driver's Mates to join our well-established client based in Crick, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, stable Monday to Friday shifts, and genuine long-term opportunities within a busy logistics environment. This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as a Driver's Mate, Van Driver or Courier Driver.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Alternating 06:00 and 08:00 start times

Rates of Pay:

  • £13.50 per hour
  • £14.50 per hour once permanent

Day-to-Day Duties: As a Driver's Mate, your duties will include:

  • Working alongside a Driver to deliver to customers' homes
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely
  • Contacting customers with updates on ETAs
  • Removing and disposing of packaging from deliveries
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills: To be successful as a Driver's Mate, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence (due to progression into a Driver role once permanent)
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable and punctual approach to work
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous home delivery experience

Training: Full company induction and training provided prior to starting.
