People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our well-established client based in Paisley, Renfrewshire and surrounding areas. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a HGV Class 2 Driver (HIAB), LGV 2 Hiab Driver or Category C Hiab Driver.

Shifts: Monday - Friday: 06:30 starts

Rates of Pay: £16.25 - £19.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a Class 2 HIAB Driver will involve but not be limited to:

  • Delivering most building materials to construction sites
  • Operating and driving various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Operating a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane safely and efficiently (brick grab)
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills: As a Class 2 HIAB Driver you will need to:

  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Hold a valid grab HIAB Certificate
  • Have no more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
  • Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
  • Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
  • Be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Be punctual and have excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Have effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries

Training: Training will be provided on first day and ongoing support throughout.
