Day to Day Duties:
- Program, set, and operate CNC machines to produce precision-engineered components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and machine settings
- Conduct quality checks and first-off inspections using measuring equipment
- Adjust programs and settings to ensure high-quality output
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Liaise with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc, Mazatrol or similar)
- Experience setting and operating CNC lathes or mills
- Good understanding of tolerances and machining principles
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in low to medium volume precision engineering
- Familiarity with offline programming software (e.g. EdgeCAM, Fusion 360)
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
