People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Hamstead, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Day to Day Duties:

  • RDC or customer deliveries which will include hand-balling (Driver mates provided)
  • Operating and driving various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
  • Completing any paperwork

Essential Skills:

  • Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
  • Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving C vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training:

Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
