Day to Day Duties
- Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
- Curtain side work
- Make on time deliveries
- Communicate with the transport team
- Follow Company policies and procedures
- Comply with driving rules and regulations
- Conduct vehicle inspections
- Ensure all loads are safe and secure
- Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)
Essential Skills
- Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
- Hold a valid UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
- Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
- Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
- Work in a professional manner
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots
Training
You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day company programme.
