CLASS 1 SHUNTER DRIVER Week 1: Sunday to Thursday Week 2: Monday to Friday Sunday: 08:00 – 16:00/18:00 Monday to Friday: 11:00 – 18:00/20:00 (with some flexibility required) PAY RATE: £160 – £175 PER DAY What\’s in it for me? People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in the Pershore, Worcestershire.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. As a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent Hourly Rates Ongoing Work Weekly Pay Training Provided Immediate Starts Rates of Pay: Monday to Friday – £160 per shift Sunday – £175 per shift Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve but not be limited to: Shunting of 45ft and double deck trailers onto allocated bays. Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Daily yard checks following site rules, health & safety guidelines. Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Able to cover trunking routes when required. Essential Skills As a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Minimum of 2 years experience driving and shunting. No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Excellent communication as they will be communicating with both Transport and warehouse, using a radio is essential to the role.
