People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Dalkeith / Newtongrange. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for a consistent dayshift role offering ongoing work and competitive rates of pay.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver, or Category C+E Driver.
Rates of Pay: £16.10 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Start time: 9:00am
Overtime: Overtime paid after 8 hours

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Completing multi-drop deliveries across Scotland
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Conducting vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule
- Completing all relevant paperwork and using handheld devices where required
- Complying with all Drivers' Hours, Tachograph, and Road Traffic Regulations
- Delivering excellent customer service
Essential Skills:
- A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
- A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
- Ability to work independently and manage your own route
Desirable Experience: Previous multi-drop driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
Training: Full paid site induction provided. Ongoing support throughout your assignment.
