People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, paid breaks, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Store Delivery Driver or Truck Driver.
Shifts- Working five days out of seven (including some weekend working)
- AM shifts: 01:00 – 04:00 start times
- PM shifts: 14:00 – 18:00 start times
- £17.13 per hour (standard 48 hours)
- £25.70 per hour (overtime after 48 hours)
- Minimum of 12 hours paid per shift
- All breaks fully paid
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working rotating shift patterns
- Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing 6–7 product deliveries to stores across the UK each day
- Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperatures throughout the journey
- Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores
- Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Reporting any customer concerns promptly to management
- Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects where necessary
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
- A minimum of six months' experience as a Class 2 Driver
- A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Experience completing store deliveries
- Familiarity with cage deliveries and temperature-controlled distribution
- First-day assessment
- Two weeks of training alongside an experienced permanent team member
- Industry-related training provided
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
