People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join our well-established client based in Burscough on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent salary, outstanding benefits and the chance to play a pivotal role in key projects across the business.
This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Team Leader or Head of Engineering.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, thirty-nine hours per week, flexible working hours between 08:00 and 16:30
Pay Rate: Up to £60,000 - £65,000 per annum DOE

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Leading and managing the Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering functions to support business objectives, customer requirements and operational performance
- Developing and implementing engineering, maintenance and asset management strategies to improve equipment reliability, productivity, quality and cost performance
- Ensuring effective preventative and predictive maintenance programmes are established, maintained and continuously improved
- Managing engineering and maintenance resources, budgets and priorities to maximise operational effectiveness and support business growth
- Leading Manufacturing Engineering projects focused on process improvement, automation, capacity enhancement, waste reduction and operational efficiency
- Ensuring all plant, machinery, facilities and infrastructure remain compliant with legislative, safety and company requirements
- Managing spare parts inventory and maintenance systems to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity
- Supporting the introduction of new equipment, products and manufacturing processes, ensuring robust handover, documentation, training and operational readiness
- Leading root cause investigations relating to equipment failures, customer complaints, quality issues and non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented
Essential Skills:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Professional engineering qualification and/or membership of a recognised engineering institution is desirable
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment and maintenance systems
