People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and the opportunity to join a reputable and growing logistics operation.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, Tramper Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts- Monday to Sunday
- 5 days out of 7
- Days – £17.50 per hour
- Nights – £18.50 per hour
- Saturday – £20.00 per hour
- Sunday – £21.50 per hour
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:
- Excellent hourly rates

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Completing fridge work with a maximum of three store deliveries per shift
- No handball involved
- Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transportation
- Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations
- Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
- Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance requirements promptly
- Supporting loading and unloading duties where required
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category CE Licence
- A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- No major endorsement codes
- A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
- Industry-related training provided
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
