People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Team Manager to join our well-established client based in Bolton on a full-time permanent basis. This role is responsible for leading, managing and developing a production team to ensure safe, efficient and effective operations whilst driving continuous improvement, productivity and quality performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering operational targets through strong leadership, effective people management and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, food quality and manufacturing excellence.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Production Team Leader, Shift Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leader, Operations Supervisor, Food Production Team Leader or Production Manager.

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Team Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Leading, motivating and developing a production team to achieve operational targets
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, food safety and quality standards
- Driving productivity, efficiency and waste reduction across the department
- Monitoring performance and taking action to improve key operational KPIs
- Supporting and delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and GMP
- Ensuring accurate completion of production records and systems
- Conducting regular team briefings, training sessions and performance reviews
- Managing labour resources effectively to meet business requirements
- Promoting a positive, engaged and safety-focused working environment
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Team Manager, you will need:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience working within a fast-paced production environment
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and production management systems such as SAP
- The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a wider operational team
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
