People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Team Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Bolton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced production leader to take responsibility for a team, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Production Team Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Manager, Production Shift Manager, Operations Supervisor or Food Production Team Leader.

  • 14:00 – 22:00

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team to deliver operational excellence
  • Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture throughout the department
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality and traceability standards
  • Manage labour, raw materials, packaging and waste effectively to control costs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and performance
  • Maintain excellent GMP and hygiene standards across the production area
  • Conduct team briefings, training and performance reviews
  • Support employee engagement, development and retention
  • Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and system records
  • Monitor and improve departmental KPIs relating to safety, quality, cost and performance

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a Production Team Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership role
  • Experience working within a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, GMP and Food Safety standards
  • Experience driving performance through KPIs and continuous improvement activities
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and production systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Flexible and proactive approach with a positive attitude
