People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Brislington, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and a stable, full-time role with immediate starts available.
Shifts
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30am start β finish (typically around 4:30pm, though may vary slightly due to traffic)
Rates of Pay
- Basic: Β£12.50 per hour
- Overtime (after 8 hours): Β£15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
- Collecting medical and hygiene waste from various sites
- Operating and driving 3.5 tonne (Category B) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all cargo is correctly loaded, secured, and transported safely
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and site regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
- Assisting with loading and unloading of goods as required
Essential Skills
- Valid UK Category B (Car/Van) Driving Licence
- Minimum of 6 months' commercial driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
- Strong understanding of UK road network and driving regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
- Experience handling collections or multi-drop routes
Training Provided
- Full on-site training with ongoing support throughout your assignment
