People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: Working 4 days between Monday – Saturday
Start times: 06:00 (guaranteed 11 hours' pay per day)
Rates of Pay: £14.05 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Delivering in a two-person team to stores and residential homes
- Operate and drive 7.5 Tonne vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category C1 Licence
- Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C1 vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
- Sound understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided:
- Driver's assessment must be completed before starting
- One-day paid induction following successful assessment
- Industry-related training and ongoing support provided throughout
