People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join our well-established client based in Bathgate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for an ongoing role with the potential to become permanent, covering long-term sickness within the team. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Mechanical Engineer.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- Initial training period: 08:00 – 16:00 (day shift)
- Following training: rotational shift pattern including days, back shifts, and night shifts
- Shift allowance paid once on rotation
Pay Rate:
- £18.00 per hour
- Additional shift allowance once fully trained and on rotation

- Working as part of a team to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency
Essential Skills:
- Experience working with pumps and conveyor systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proven fault-finding ability
- Ability to conduct both planned and reactive maintenance
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Training:
- Full training provided during the initial day-shift period
