HGV Class 1 ADR Driver - Nights - Middlesbrough

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver - Nights to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates of pay, ongoing work throughout the year, and genuine opportunities for long-term employment.

This role would suit an experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, LGV Class 1 ADR Driver, or Category CE Tanker Driver looking for a stable role with consistent work and excellent earning potential.

Rates of Pay

  • £19.00 per hour • Weekly pay

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday • 17:00 start times • Night shifts

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver , you will work

  • Completing trunk runs between RDCs and customer locations
  • Transporting ADR goods using curtain-sided trailers
  • Driving Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
  • Ensuring loads are secure and compliant before transport
  • Completing all delivery paperwork accurately
  • Following Driver Hours Regulations, ADR requirements and road traffic legislation
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times
  • No handball required

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver , you will need

  • A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
  • A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid ADR Certificate
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  • No major endorsement codes
  • Good communication skills
  • A professional and safety-conscious approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable Experience

  • Previous ADR trunking experience • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience • Experience operating curtain-sided trailers

Training

  • Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
