HGV Class 1 ADR Night Driver - Middlesbrough People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, ADR Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire .

  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 ADR Night Driver, your duties will include:
  • Transporting goods on curtain-sided vehicles with no handball involved
  • Completing trunk runs between depots and client sites
  • Operating and driving HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant with legislation
  • Adhering to all traffic laws, ADR regulations, and company procedures
  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and tachograph records accurately Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 ADR Night Driver, you will need:
  • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
  • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Class 1 (CE) vehicles
  • Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid ADR Certificate (essential)
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Good understanding of UK road transport and ADR regulations Desirable Experience
  • Previous commercial driving experience in trunking or regional logistics
  • Previous experience operating curtain-sided vehicles
  • Experience transporting ADR goods would be advantageous Training Provided
