People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would suit applicants who have worked in a similar role such as a Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver, or Category CE Driver.

Shifts:

  • Four shifts over seven days
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Rolling 3-week rota

£18.60 - £39.96 per hour

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Class 1 multi-drop deliveries
  • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly and assisting with loading and unloading when required
  • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
  • Maintaining a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety standards, and UK road networks

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
  • A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
  • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Previous experience driving commercial

Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout.
