People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join our busy manufacturer client based in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering great benefits and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shift times: Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
Salary: £27,000 - £27,200 per annum depending on experience

Day-to-day duties:
- Setting up and running saw machines to ensure optimum efficiency
- Identifying and resolving faults during set-up in line with order requirements
- Completing paperwork and inputting data accurately into the system
- Performing checks against instructions to ensure product quality and conformity
- Carrying out regular quality inspections and correcting any issues immediately
- Ensuring adequate stock of raw materials to maintain productivity
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
- Reporting defective machine parts promptly
Essential skills:
- Previous machine operation and machinery skills
- Quality control expertise
- Proficiency in using hand tools
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- A committed attitude to continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean production
Training: Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout, with continuing development opportunities.
