People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join our well-established client based in Mossley, Ashton-under-Lyne (OL5). For the right candidate, this will be a permanent position.

Shifts: Monday to Friday - 8am - 4pm

Rates of Pay: £15.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production operations to meet output goals
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet deadlines
  • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed
  • Track and report production performance metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, etc.)
  • Supervise, train, and motivate production staff
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to production workers
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to resolve defects or process issues
  • Enforce workplace safety rules and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members
  • Would be expected to carry out tasks undertaken by other employees with a focus on loading/unloading and mixing rather than filling
  • Ensuring production on factory floor is carried out in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintaining cleanliness on factory floor

Essential skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • FLT Licence

Training: Full training will be provided, with ongoing development support.
