People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver – Alfreton to join our well-established client based in Alfreton. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.
This role is ongoing for the right candidate and would suit applicants with experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, Courier Driver or Category B Driver.
Please note: You must be 21 years of age or over for our client's insurance purposes.
Shifts- Monday to Friday
- Early shifts
- £14.61 per hour
- Guaranteed ongoing work with weekly rotas provided in advance
- Opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate
- Weekly pay (PAYE – holidays accrued separately)

As a Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Loading and unloading your vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift
- Delivering goods to medical centres and doctors' surgeries
- Working a minimum of eight hours per shift
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately and efficiently
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
- To have held your driving licence for a minimum of 12 months
- Be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
Previous commercial van driving or multi-drop delivery experience would be beneficial.
Training ProvidedPaid site induction following a successful theory and driving assessment.
A minimum of three training shifts alongside an experienced driver.
Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment.
