People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, regular work, and immediate starts for experienced drivers. This role will involve store deliveries, so previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries would be advantageous. Ongoing work is available for the right candidates.
Shifts: Various early morning start times available, including: 05:00, 05:30, 05:45, 06:00, 06:15, 06:45. Days of work will vary depending on client requirements.
Rates of Pay: £16.00 and £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Operating Class 1 C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing store deliveries
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing all relevant delivery paperwork
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Communicating with the transport team and store contacts
- Following all road safety, driving hours and company procedures
- Handling double-decker trailers where required
Essential Skills:
- A valid UK Category C+E licence
- Valid CPC card
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 6 month's Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
- No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements
- Previous store delivery experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
