People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts: Monday to Friday
Start times: 6:00am

Rates of Pay: £15.90 per hour – Basic

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
  • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is correctly loaded and secured
  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues
  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Category C licence
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
  • Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Excellent punctuality and time-keeping
  • Strong understanding of road transport regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous commercial driving experience
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided:

  • Driver assessment required before starting
  • One-day paid induction following successful assessment
