People Solutions are looking for Warehouse Operatives for our Client based in Widnes. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a company that can offer long term work.

Day to Day Duties

Your responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative will include but are not limited to:

  • Moving and transporting stock into the correct areas of the warehouse
  • Receiving and unpacking incoming goods and taking inventories as required
  • Organising stock for deliveries and wrapping and securing
  • Stacking and stowing pallets away
  • Picking and packing goods for customer despatch
  • Adhering to Health & Safety at all times and promoting a safe working environment
  • Checking the quantity and visual quality of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Reporting any stock difference to Management
  • Promoting a safe work environment and reporting any safety concerns or issues to Management
  • Clearing work area of any debris and keeping the traffic routes clear of obstructions
  • Reporting faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to deadlines
  • Must pass a basic English & Numeracy Test and be able to prove your Right to Work in the UK
  • Must have at least six months experience working as a Warehouse Operative for this role

Full training provided, industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
