People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our well-established client based in Minworth. This is a varied role that plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day operation of the HGV fleet and ensuring the smooth running of transport administration. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Logistics Administrator, Fleet Administrator or Transport Coordinator.

Rates of Pay: £14.50 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Support the transport operation with HGV vehicle servicing schedules and maintenance planning
  • Manage vehicle defects, liaising with suppliers and maintenance providers to ensure timely resolution
  • Monitor and maintain tachograph compliance and related records
  • Coordinate driver holidays and sickness absence
  • Arrange agency driver cover to maintain operational requirements during periods of absence
  • Compile and maintain transport reports using existing spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Carry out general transport administration and support with day-to-day operational tasks
  • Liaise with driver agencies regarding bookings and hours worked
  • Input Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) hours and other transport-related data into the AS400 system

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Previous experience within a transport, logistics or fleet administration environment
  • Good understanding of HGV transport operations
  • Knowledge of tachograph regulations and compliance requirements
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers, agencies and internal teams
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and professional approach to work

Training: Training provided on AS400 systems and industry-related training and ongoing support throughout.
