People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a competitive salary of up to £46,000 per annum, an annual bonus of up to 15%, outstanding employee benefits, and the opportunity to play a key role in driving engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and manufacturing efficiency within a successful and growing organisation.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Lean Engineer, or Manufacturing Process Engineer.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, Flexible working hours between 08:00 - 16:30

Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Day-to-Day Duties: As a Process Engineer, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Researching, justifying, and implementing new and improved manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Reviewing, designing, and planning production layouts to optimise workflow, productivity, and Health & Safety compliance
  • Analysing rework, scrap, and reject levels to identify opportunities for process, product, and training improvements
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production cycle times, improve product quality, and minimise manufacturing costs
  • Applying statistical analysis and engineering techniques to forecast manufacturing requirements and improve operational performance
  • Developing, evaluating, and implementing manufacturing equipment and production processes to achieve world-class standards
  • Leading the implementation and development of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies across the business
  • Investigating manufacturing issues and leading root cause analysis to develop effective corrective and preventative actions
  • Working collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver process improvements and business objectives
