People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join the Asset Care team for our well-established client based in Mexborough, providing world-class maintenance support across a manufacturing site. This is a hands-on, proactive engineering role focused on asset reliability, breakdown response, continuous improvement and planned maintenance, supporting production, packaging, distribution, services and facilities. You will play a key role in delivering the site Asset Care plan, supporting safe systems of work, and driving high standards across people, plant and processes.
Shifts: Three weekly rotating shift pattern: Days: Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:00, Nights: Thursday to Sunday: 22:00 – 06:00, Lates: Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00
Salary: £47,179 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Providing timely first-line response to breakdowns, performance issues and waste streams
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and proactive asset care activities
- Supporting production and packaging teams to ensure lines run efficiently and targets are met
- Working safely at all times in line with EH&S legislation (LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, PTW, isolation procedures, SSOWs, RA & MS)
- Monitoring line performance and taking ownership of issues without needing direction
- Managing and closing maintenance requests using the CMMS system, owning tasks through to completion
- Supporting CMMS development including PM schedules, reviews and improvements
- Maintaining effective spares control, ensuring correct withdrawal and restocking procedures
- Working collaboratively with engineering, production and site stakeholders using a customer-focused approach
- Acting as a role model for best practice, behaviours, safety and standards
- Demonstrating flexibility to support business needs, including shift cover and overtime when required
Essential Skills:
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds / BTEC / ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a frontline maintenance role within an FMCG / manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding experience across: Motors and inverters, Electro-pneumatics and hydraulics, Drives, gearboxes, pumps and seals, Conveyor systems and site services
