People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG/TIG Welder based in Leicester to join our client. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay depending on experience and the opportunity to progress your career. Please note: You must have your own transport for this role due to the location of the site.
Shifts
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00–16:00
- Friday: 07:00–13:00
Rates of Pay
- £18.00 - £19.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Day-to-Day Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding operations on various metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding specifications
- Set up welding equipment and ensure correct settings for each job
- Assemble and fabricate metal parts using welding techniques
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure welds meet required standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Use hand tools and workshop equipment
- Understand plans and job requirements
- Prepare and cut required shapes and weld to structured plans
- Operate welding units and related equipment
Essential Skills
- Physically fit (heavy lifting may be involved)
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Minimum 6 month's experience in MIG and TIG welding
- Must live local to the area
- Own transport due to site location
Training Provided
- Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
