People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG/TIG Welder based in Leicester to join our client. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay depending on experience and the opportunity to progress your career. Please note: You must have your own transport for this role due to the location of the site.

Shifts

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00–16:00
  • Friday: 07:00–13:00

Rates of Pay

  • £18.00 - £19.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding operations on various metal components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding specifications
  • Set up welding equipment and ensure correct settings for each job
  • Assemble and fabricate metal parts using welding techniques
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure welds meet required standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area
  • Use hand tools and workshop equipment
  • Understand plans and job requirements
  • Prepare and cut required shapes and weld to structured plans
  • Operate welding units and related equipment

Essential Skills

  • Physically fit (heavy lifting may be involved)
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Minimum 6 month's experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • Must live local to the area
  • Own transport due to site location

Training Provided

  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
