People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Bench Joiner / Bench Hand Joiner to join our well-established client based in Hyde (with site work in Central London, including overnight stays with a £30 expense allowance per night). This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, guaranteed hours, and the opportunity to work on high-end bespoke joinery and commercial fit-out projects.

Shifts:
- Working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30
- 40 hours per week
- Nights out may be required (expenses and allowance included)
Rates of Pay:
- £14.00 – £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime paid after 40 hours at 1.5 × hourly rate

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Manufacturing and installing high-end contemporary bespoke joinery and high-quality commercial fit-out works.
- Completing timesheets daily to record work completed on the job.
- Reading technical drawings and plans before starting work.
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood or boards according to specifications.
- Manufacturing bespoke joinery items such as cabinets, doors, panels, counters, and furniture.
- Assembling wooden components using joinery techniques.
- Operating woodworking machines and hand tools safely (panel saw, band saw, morticer, planer, etc.).
- Sanding, finishing, and preparing products before sending them for spraying or installation.
- Checking quality and accuracy to ensure work meets company standards.
- Assisting with installation or fitting on site when required.
- Following health and safety procedures in the workshop.
- Bespoke joinery work.
- Combination of workshop (bench) and site work.
Essential Skills:
- NVQ or City & Guilds joinery or site qualification.
- Full driving licence.
- Bench hand experience.
- On-site experience.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements and site risks.
- Live within a commutable distance of Hyde.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience:
- AutoCAD.
- First Aid.
- PASMA Training.
Training Provided:
- Full training on company policies and procedures will be provided by the client.
