Assistant Lab Technician in Dukinfield

People Solutions is recruiting an Assistant Lab Technician to join a well‑established client based in Dukinfield. Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 06:15 – 18:30

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Day‑to‑Day Duties:

• Carrying out routine QC testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products in line with standard operating procedures.
• Accurately recording, analysing, and interpreting test data to determine product conformity.
• Performing basic adjustments to product formulations or processes as agreed with Laboratory Management.
• Releasing finished products to the dispatch team once all control plan requirements are met.
• Maintaining testing equipment and ensuring calibration checks are completed as required.
• Ensuring manufactured products are released in line with specified requirements.
• Using a variety of laboratory equipment and SOPs to carry out routine testing.
• Compiling QC reports and sending results to customers promptly and professionally.
• Escalating non‑conformances or trends indicating potential quality issues to Laboratory Management.
• Maintaining clear, accurate, and organised laboratory records and documentation.
• Working closely with Production Supervisors to ensure consistent quality on the shop floor.
• Providing timely feedback on sample results to avoid delays in manufacturing.
• Supporting root‑cause investigations into quality issues and contributing to corrective and preventative actions.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in rubber, polymer, or chemical testing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Experience performing basic process adjustments in a manufacturing setting.

Training: Industry‑related training provided and ongoing support throughout.
