Surface Imports Traffic Operator & Assistant - Leicester, Leicestershire
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Surface Imports Traffic Operator & Assistant to join our well-established client based in Leicester, Leicestershire.

This role would suit candidates with experience or an interest in Traffic Operations, Import Administration, Logistics Administration, Freight Forwarding, Customs Administration, Transport Administration, Shipping Administration, Office Administration, or Operations Support.
Shifts
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 - 16:30
- 37.5 hours per week
- Permanent position
Salary
- Starting salary from £19,000 per annum (age dependent)
- Higher starting salaries available depending on experience (DOE)
- Regular salary reviews as skills and experience develop

Day-to-Day Duties
- Supporting the Import Operations department with day-to-day activities
- Managing and updating in-house operational systems accurately
- Monitoring deliveries and providing timely updates to customers and colleagues
- Communicating professionally with customers, suppliers, and transport partners
- Checking and processing import shipment documentation
- Ensuring compliance with customs requirements and company procedures
- Supporting colleagues across departments when required
- Assisting with resolving operational queries and delivery issues
