Dudley People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00 starts
Rates of Pay: ***** per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Delivering steel products, typically in rigid trucks (less than 32 tonnes)
- Operating and driving Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
- Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category C driving licence
- Minimum of 12 months experience driving Category C vehicles
- Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Punctual with excellent time-keeping
- Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Previous experience working in the steel industry
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided:
- Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
