People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits:

  • Excellent hourly rates
  • Weekly pay
  • Immediate starts
  • Rates of Pay: Basic: £17.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

  • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Deliver flat sheet panels up to two tonne packs

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

  • Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
  • Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Previous steel experience is a must
  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
