Cheltenham People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Waste & Recycling Operative to join our well-established client based in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, Monday to Friday shifts, a task and finish system with full pay, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Waste Operative, Recycling Operative, Refuse Loader, Environmental Operative, General Operative or Loader.

Day‑to‑Day Duties:
- Loading waste and recycling safely onto collection vehicles
- Supporting local residents with waste and recycling enquiries
- Working safely alongside the driver during collection routes
- Guiding drivers safely when manoeuvring in restricted areas
- Helping to maintain collection vehicles and equipment to company standards
- Supporting and assisting temporary agency workers where required
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Commitment to health and safety procedures
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within waste management, recycling, environmental services or a physically demanding role would be advantageous
