HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire .

Shifts Various shift patterns available 24/7 operation Rates of Pay ***** per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay On-site canteen Training provided Immediate starts available Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to): Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking work Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all loads are secure before transport Adhering to traffic laws and driving regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: Valid UK Category CE Licence Minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience Previous commercial driving experience Multi-drop delivery experience Training Provided Driver assessment required (including theory test) One-week paid induction following a successful assessment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver , apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
