People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Service Driver to join our well-established client based in Aldridge, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This position would suit applicants looking for a role as a Service Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver or Delivery Driver.
Shifts: Rota-based shifts (to include weekend working) 08:00 - 16:00
Rates of Pay: £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties: As a Service Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Swapping out equipment on client sites
- Servicing equipment on client sites
- Carrying out general yard duties
- Operating and driving 3.5-tonne vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are secure before transport
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and company procedures
- Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
- Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills: To be successful as a Service Driver, you will need:
- Valid UK Category B driving licence
- Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category B vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
- Good knowledge of the UK road network
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and time management
- Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience: Previous commercial driving experience
Training Provided: Driver assessment required prior to starting. One-day paid induction following a successful assessment. Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment.
