People Solutions are looking for a Construction Tutor – Wigan / Standish to join our client’s team. This position is based within a Secondary SEN School and offers a part-time, flexible working pattern.

This role requires someone professional, patient and confident delivering practical, hands-on learning to small groups of SEN students interested in pathways into the construction industry.

Shifts

• Monday & Wednesday (full or half-day options available)
• 8 : 30am – 4 : 30pm
• Part-time (2 days per week)

Rates of Pay

• £30 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Deliver two construction-based sessions per week, teaching introductory multi-skill construction techniques to SEN learners
• Plan and deliver practical, safe and accessible lessons adapted to individual learning needs
• Prepare and organise the learning environment, tools and resources prior to each session
• Ensure all activities follow correct health & safety procedures and risk assessments
• Monitor, record and report student progress, attendance and engagement
• Work collaboratively with the school team to support consistent development across sites
• Create a supportive, positive environment that builds confidence, resilience and employability skills
