Job Description
WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER
MONDAY – FRIDAY: 6.00AM – 2.00PM & 2.00PM – 10.00PM (ROTATING WEEKLY)
Annual Salary of £31,500

Day to Day Duties
- Ensure smooth operations of your team
- Achievement and maintenance of POC and team KPI’s
- Identify and present improvement opportunities within your team and the warehouse operations
- To organize and motivate your team, managing the daily work volumes to efficient and productive levels to ensure your teams daily workload is completed, identifying, and agreeing contingency plans where necessary.
- To Lead by Example and be a role model for your team members.
- Ensure team members are aware of procedures for their area and facilitate their needs.
- To implement, monitor and enforce the company’s health & safety policies, Safe Systems of Work and all other H&S related rules and regulations
- To take ownership for the housekeeping of your area
- To carry out risk assessments and safety-based conversations within your area
- People Management of your team, including but not limited to disciplinary and grievance, absence management, holiday management and Dignity and Respect at Work.
- Operate and manage within the Newell Code of Conduct.
- Ensure and improve employee engagement within your team
- To ensure all equipment is used and maintained in the correct manner
- To make sure all equipment is signed for if necessary and returned to the correct place when not in use
Essential Skills
- Strong problem solving & fault-finding skills.
- Ability to interact confidently and professionally with customers.
- Previous experience leading a team
- Confidence in working alone as well as part of team.
- Full UK Driving License required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Previous Team leader experience desired
- A passion for leading teams and improving performance
- Active Leadership skills, including employee engagement, team motivation and a drive to succeed
- Excellent interpersonal/ relationship building skills
- Ability to solve problems pragmatically and strategically
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
