Rates of Pay:
- Basic: £14.12 per hour
- Unsocial Hours – £18.87 per hour
Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- One main collection per night with others added on pending requirements
- Operate and drive various 3.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills:
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category B vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Must have good knowledge of UK road network
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
Training:
- Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
- After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
