People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Southam, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay, and genuine opportunities for long-term growth and progression. This role would suit candidates with previous experience as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 06:00 start time

Rates of Pay:

  • £16.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)

Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Multi-drop delivery of palletised goods
  • Loading and unloading using a pump truck
  • Occasional FLT unloading duties
  • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring all loads are secure and safe for transport
  • Adhering to UK traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements

Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
  • A minimum of 24 months’ Category C driving experience
  • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous commercial driving experience

Training Provided: Full industry-related training and ongoing support provided throughout the assignment.
