Job Description
PROCESS ENGINEER
MONDAY – THURSDAY: 8.30AM – 5.00PM & FRIDAY: 8.30AM – 3.30PM
ANNUAL SALARY BETWEEN £40,000 – £45,000

Day to Day Duties
- Complete day-to-day Process Engineering activities in the Diamorph CPM Group (Manchester) Value Stream
- Use standardised Process Engineering tools and processes for consistent execution
- Complete PFMEA and Control Plan activities to implement effective process controls
- Develop and maintain detailed production process maps and improvement plans
- Ensure Standard Operating Instructions (SOPs) are live and up-to-date
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing process data to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to drive operational performance improvements
- Implement process control measures including SPC techniques
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to improve OEE
- Conduct process capability studies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision making
- Support introduction of new products and processes, working cross-functionally
- Participate in Lean improvement events
- Assist cross-functional teams with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures
- Utilise the Business Management System (BMS) for Process Engineering functions
- Support development and implementation of procedures and policies
- Report on Process Engineering KPIs and annual improvement plans
- Support internal and external audit schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain close working relationships with the value stream team
- Carry out any other reasonable requests from the Company
Essential Skills
- Significant Process Engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment
- Skilled in Yamazumi, Time-study (MOST), SOPs, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Spaghetti diagrams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
Desirable Skills
- Experience designing and implementing new processes
- Lean manufacturing methodologies (Single Piece Flow, Jidoka, SMED, 5S)
- Project management tools (Microsoft Project, Gantt charts, Project Charters)
- Knowledge of APQP processes: PPAP, PSW, PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs
