Nuneaton People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.
Shifts: Mornings or Afternoons (Various shifts available)
Pay rate: £15.50 - £16.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:
- Operate and drive a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations - Some Building Sites - All Curtain sided work
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
Essential Skills:
- Hold a valid UK C Class – Class 2 Licence
- Must have strapping experience
- Have a minimum of 6 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle.
- No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
- Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
- Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
- Use a Tail Lift and Pallet Truck or Curtain side and straps
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving a Class 2 vehicle using a curtain side with straps
Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
