People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver / Removals Operative to join our well-established client based in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver who is happy to take on a hands-on role, supporting a busy removals operation. Driving will form a smaller part of the role, with the majority focused on physical removals work. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a HGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Removals Operative.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 start time
Pay Rate:
- £15.25 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Driving a Category C vehicle (approximately 10–20% of the role)
- Supporting full removals operations at customer sites
- Loading and unloading furniture and household goods
- Heavy lifting and manual handling of large and bulky items
- Assisting with packing, moving, and positioning items
- Ensuring items are handled carefully to avoid damage
- Completing daily vehicle checks and paperwork
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong understanding of driver regulations and tachograph rules
- Comfortable carrying out heavy lifting operations
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in removals, logistics, or heavy manual roles (highly advantageous)
Training:
- Ongoing support and development provided
