People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative / Production Operative to join our well-established client based in Irlam. Immediate starts available. Monday to Friday working, no weekend work, ongoing training, and a genuine Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • Must be flexible to start at 06:00 during busy periods

Rates of Pay:

  • £12.71 – £13.50 per hour depending on experience
  • Pay increase available following completion of training and successful permanent placement

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Working within a factory environment to complete customer orders accurately and on time
  • Building and assembling products to customer specifications
  • Picking, packing, scanning and labelling products
  • Moving materials and loading/unloading goods
  • Using hand tools and cutting equipment as required
  • Carrying out assembly and product preparation tasks
  • Completing stock checks and basic documentation
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Working closely with manufacturing and warehouse colleagues

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Furniture assembly experience
  • Confidence using hand tools and related equipment
  • Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards

Desirable Experience:

  • Plumbing experience
  • Electrical assembly experience
  • Cabinet making experience
  • Previous warehouse experience
