Job Description
HGV Class 2 Driver – Warrington, Cheshire
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, consistent full-time work, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.
Shifts• Monday to Friday• 08:00 starts
Rates of Pay• £16.00 per hour (based on a standard 48-hour week)
Benefits• Weekly pay• Excellent hourly rate• Ongoing, long-term position• Thorough first-day assessment and training provided• Supportive transport and operations team
Day-to-Day Duties• Drive and operate HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently• Complete 4–6 deliveries per day to various stores across the UK• Maintain load temperatures throughout transit• Handle palletised deliveries safely and accurately• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points• Report any delivery issues or customer concerns promptly to management
Essential Skills• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card• Minimum of six months’ experience driving Class 2 vehicles• No more than six points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 codes)• Strong communication and customer service skills• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Desirable Experience• Previous experience handling Class 2 palletised deliveries
Training Provided• First-day site assessment• Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
