HGV Class 2 Driver – Leicester People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver – Leicester to join our well-established client based in Leicester, Leicestershire . This role would suit candidates with previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Truck Driver, or Commercial Driver . Shifts • Monday to Friday • 06:30 – 16:30 Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Weekly pay • Immediate starts available • Ongoing work • Full-time hours • Long-term opportunities • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: • Operating Category C (Class 2) vehicles safely and efficiently • Delivering goods to customer locations in line with planned routes • Carrying out pre- and post-use vehicle checks • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport team and customers • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly • Completing delivery paperwork accurately and on time • Handballing from roll cages as part of deliveries • No heavy lifting involved Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence • A minimum of six months' Class 2 driving experience • A valid CPC Qualification Card • A valid Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No major endorsement codes • A good level of spoken and written English • A strong understanding of road safety and transport legislation • Excellent punctuality and time management skills • Good communication and customer service skills Desirable Experience • Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience • Multi-drop delivery experience • Customer-facing delivery experience Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are looking for ongoing work with excellent rates of pay and long-term opportunities, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
