Job Description
HGV Class 2 Driver – Days – Aston
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for development and progression.

Day-to-Day Duties
-
Complete store deliveries involving handball
-
Operate and drive Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
-
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
-
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
-
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
-
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
-
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
-
Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required
-
Use electric or manual pump truck and tail lift
-
Complete one trip per shift with approximately 7–8 deliveries or collections
Essential Skills
-
Valid UK Category C Licence
-
Minimum of 24 months’ Class 2 driving experience
-
No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements)
-
Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards
-
Good spoken and written English
-
Reliable, punctual, and professional
-
Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Excellent communication skills

Previous commercial driving experience
