Job Description
HGV Class 2 Driver – Days
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and the potential to progress within a leading logistics business.
Shifts:• Monday to Friday• Start times between 03:00 and 06:00
Rates of Pay:• £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:• Carry out store deliveries involving some handball• Operate and drive Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery points• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Ensure all loads are secured safely and correctly• Adhere to UK traffic laws and regulations at all times• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly• Assist with loading and unloading using electric or manual pump trucks• Operate tail lift equipment safely• Typically one trip per shift with 7–8 deliveries or collections
Essential Skills:• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence• Minimum of 24 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• No more than six points for minor offences (no major endorsements)• Good understanding of UK road transport regulations• Strong punctuality and timekeeping• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently
Desirable Experience:• Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries• Experience operating commercial vehicles
Training Provided:• Full industry-related training provided around company processes and procedures• Ongoing support and refresher training available throughout employment
