HGV CLASS 1 DRIVERÂ
WORKING DAYS OR NIGHTS BETWEEN MONDAY TO SUNDAY
DAYS: 08:00 STARTS
NIGHTS: 19:00 STARTS
£17.00 – £20.00 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Wolverhampton, WEST MIDLANDS.

Rates of Pay
- Monday to Friday £17.00 per hour
- Saturday £19.00 per hour
- Sunday £20.00 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- trunking work for IKEA
- Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
- Being able to drive a LST trailer
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE LicenceÂ
- Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codesÂ
- Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Be able to drive an LST trailer
Desirable Experience
- Â Experience driving any commercial vehiclesÂ
- Â Previous experience with multi drop deliveriesÂ
Training
- Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
