Job Description
CLASS 1 DRIVER
Hours: Monday to Friday - Days from 06:00 & Nights from 18:00
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the WALSALL, WEST MIDLANDS. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay:
- Monday to Friday days £15.80 per hour & Nights - £16.80 per hour
- Saturday: Days £16.30 per hour - Nights £17.30 per hour
- Sunday : Days £16.50 per hour - Nights £17.50 per hour
Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Must have container experience
- Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills:
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Must have container experience
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Previous experience in containers
Training:
- Support offered throughout assigment
