Field Based Optical Assistant

Monday – Friday: 8.30AM – 5.30PM (NO WEEKENDS OR BANK HOLIDAY WORKING)

Annual Salary GBP27,000 – GBP32,000 (PLUS FULLY EXPENSED COMPANY CAR)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Field Optical Assistant to join our well-established client based in Manchester on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering an amazing annual salary and room to grow and progress.

THIS ROLE IS A FIELD BASED VACANCY AND WILL BE COVERING A LARGE TERRITORY TO INCLUDE MANCHESTER, LEEDS, HULL AND MIDLANDS.

THERE WILL BE DAILY TRAVEL INVOLVED IN A FULLY EXPENSED COMPANY CAR

Day to Day Duties

  • Conduct pre-tests for patients and support the optometrist in clinic
  • Dispense glasses with the level of care you would expect for yourself
  • Deliver and fit glasses with precision to change someone\’s quality of life
  • Maintain accurate patient records for continuity of care
  • Provide outstanding customer service so that they remember you
  • Repair glasses with skill and care

Essential Skills

  • Must have full driving license
  • 12 months minimum optical experience gained within an optician setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good Maths and English ability
  • Excellent people person

Desirable Experience

  • Previous work within a care home setting may be desirable

Training

  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
